How it fits together
The over run lever is pushed backwards when the caravan
moves forward towards the car under breaking. It has a pivot at it's
centre,so pulls the brake rod forwards, applying the brakes.
The damper does it's work at the moment when the caravan is moving
forward towards the car under braking and before the brakes are applied.
If the brakes are left unadjusted the damper has to do more work and is
put under a greater load, eventually it will fail.If it does the brake
system can not be properly adjusted.
