1 Spray both 13mm nuts with releasing oil,no. 1 in diagram
2 Undo both 13mm nuts.If the whole bolt spins then the top of bolt will
have to be found.It is normally located under under a bunk and under
lino.
3 The steady can now be slid forward slightly and it should drop down and be taken off the van.
4 Remove old nylon nut and clean off screw.
5 Bend the rear of the steady outwards to 45 degrees at point 2 using a pair of grips
6 Screw the cast nut about 6 inches onto the screw.
7 locate the nut lug into the hole on the side of the steady that
hasn't been bent.To do this don't move the nut but separate the jack
leg from the jack body.
8 The nut is now at a 45 degree angle,tap the flat surface down and the
second lug should be forced down into the hole.The nut is now in
correct position.
9 straighten the bent side of the jack using a hammer or a vice,the lug should be located in it's hole.
10 Large screws should be able to be purchased with the new nuts and
should be fitted to stop the nut from jumping out of it's holes.
11 Lubricate the screw and refit the jack to the van.
